Ashdown restaurant owner killed in wreck- Matthew Gilley, age 42 of Ashdown, died from injuries sustained in a wreck on Arkansas 32 west of Ashdown around 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Gilley was taken to Christus-St. Michael Medical Center in Texarkana, where he succumbed to his injuries.


 3. U.S. Marshals search for armed and dangerous man wanted for Arkansas murder- The United States Marshals Service is searching for a man that is wanted in connection to a 2021 homicide that occurred in Pulaski County. 21-year-old Jamall Rashee Warren is wanted on capital murder charges.


4. Farmington Public Schools rolls out new electric bus fleet- Farmington Public Schools have introduced 6 new electric buses for the district. The buses are expected to save the districts over $10,000 a year in fuel costs, Superintendent Jon Laffoon said. These buses were purchased thanks to a $1.22 million dollar grant.


5. Louisiana's governor asks for National Guard deployment to New Orleans- Republican Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has requested for the National Guard to be deployed to New Orleans and other cities, stating that his state needs assistance fighting crime. He also praised President Donald Trump's decision to send troops to both Washington and Memphis.

6. 2nd detainee dies a week after Dallas ICE facility shooting- A second detainee has died after being shot at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office last week. Miguel Angel Garcia-Hernandez, age 32, was wounded in Wednesday's shooting and has now succumbed to his injuries after being taken off of life support.

7. Israel becoming increasingly isolated on the world stage- As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues, backlash has begun to seep into Israel's economic, cultural, and sporting areas. "International condemnation" has flared since Israel announced a ground assault on Gaza City.


8. Scientists discover ancient life-size animal rock carvings in the Saudi Arabian desert- Researchers have stumbled upon life-sized rock carvings of camels, gazelles, and other animals in Saudi Arabia. The carvings date back to approximately 12,000 years ago and many are over 6 feet tall.


9. Sam Pittman out as coach at Arkansas- Sam Pittman was fired from his head coaching job on Sunday. The 63-year-old was let go a day after a disappointing loss to Notre Dame at home on Saturday. Pittman was hired in 2019 and helped lead the Hogs to 4 bowl games.


10. Bochy will not manage Rangers in '26, offered front-office role- Almost 3 years ago to the day, Bruce Bochy came out of retirement and was hired as the manager for the Texas Rangers. On Monday night, it was announced that both Bochy and the Rangers have mutually agreed to end his managerial tenure with the organization. He was offered a front-office role to remain to with the team.


11. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have split after nearly 2 decades of marriage- The Academy Award-winning actress and the Grammy Award-winning country singer's split was confirmed Monday by NBC News. The pair got married in 2006 and have two daughters. Kidman also had two previous children with ex-husband Tom Cruise.


12. Bad Bunny to headline Super Bowl 60 halftime show- Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show, Apple Music announced during the Cowboys vs. Packers "Sunday Night Football" game. According to Spotify, Bad Bunny was the third-most-played artist of 2024 and has been dubbed as the "King of Latin Trap."


13. Popular Egyptian "strong man" goes for another jaw-dropping challenge: pulling a ship with his teeth- A hugely popular Egyptian wrestler got set for his most extraordinary challenge on Saturday... pulling a 700-ton ship across the water with a rope only held by his teeth. 


14. "Very mean squirrel" seeking food has sent 2 people to the ER in a California city- Residents of a Bay Area city in San Francisco are on the lookout for an aggressive squirrel that has sent at least 2 people to the ER for medical treatment. Joan Heblack was walking in her neighborhood when a squirrel came out of nowhere and attacked her leg, crawling up it and biting her.


15. Dancing With The Stars set to host "TikTok Night" on Tuesday- Dancing With the Stars is ready to relive viral moments with the show's first-ever "TikTok night" on Tuesday, September 30th. Last week, wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and his partner Whitney Carson tied with Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas at the top of the leaderboard.
